The Lorax, a Sustainability Movie for Kids…and Grown-Ups?

“I meant no harm. I most truly did not. But I had to grow bigger. So bigger I got » says Once-ler in Dr Seuss’ famous children book, The Lorax. Does that line ring a bell to any CSR or Sustainability professional out there?

Last week, Universal studios released their new animation movie inspired by the Lorax ecological story of human greed vs nature… I am now wondering: Can this movie help future generations of kids (or even professionals) to better integrate respect of nature and resources into their future business decisions?

Take a look at the trailer:

Have you seen {{LNK|the movie|http://www.theloraxmovie.com/}} yet and what did you think of it?

I haven’t personally watched it yet but I think that animated movies are one of the best ways to educate our kids around the notion of respect towards our planet, just like Disney did with {{LNK|Wall-E|http://www.disney.fr/wall-e/}} a few years ago. The Lorax will not be out in France until this summer, but until then I’d love to know if any other movies actually share the same spirit... so if you know of any “Sustainability movies”, feel free to share them below!
