TEDWomen: Naomi Klein on Climate Change

Public By
#Climate Change
Naomi Klein is an award-winning journalist, columnist for Nation and the Guardian and author of international bestseller, The Shock Doctrine. Her book, translated into 25 languages and sold up to more than a million copies, was described by Rachel Maddow as "the only book of the last few years in American publishing that I would describe as a mandatory must-read”. Naomi was invited to the first ever TEDWomen conference in Washington D.C. to share her insights about what she calls “our societal recklessness”. Back from her trip to the Gulf of Mexico where she witnessed the impacts of the BP oil spill, she asks: “What makes our culture so prone to the reckless high-stakes gamble, and why are women so frequently called upon to clean up the mess?”
