ASrIA Briefing: Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Investor Roundtable
Low carbon growth is now widely accepted in Europe and North America as fundamental to generating long term shareholder value, avoiding dangerous climate change and helping the global economy recover from recent setbacks. The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) sent its annual request to the Global 500 companies on behalf of 551 investors with US$71 trillion of assets, asking them to measure and report what climate change means for their business. In 2011, 81% (404) of corporations from the Global 500 responded to the CDP questionnaire.
ASrIA has been coordinating the CDP in Asia since 2005, engaging with companies, organising CDP events and publishing the annual CDP Asia ex-Japan report. CDP is a key global resource for assessing corporate risks and opportunities presented by climate change and for benchmarking management initiatives.
ASrIA is pleased to invite you to attend this year's CDP Investor’s Roundtable you to gain a closer perspective on corporate disclosure, risks and opportunities.
